This Worked: 300 Photos on Every Commercial Roof

this-workedJuly 22, 2026 · Nick Lavelle · CODE99

Most contractors take ten photos on a roof. Wide shot, a couple close-ups, done. We took 300, every roof, every time. People thought it was overkill right up until it started winning arguments nobody else could win.

What 300 photos actually buys you

The system, so you do not drown

Three hundred photos in your camera roll is chaos. Three hundred photos in a system is a weapon.

The math

A photo costs nothing. Zero dollars, two seconds. One scope argument lost for lack of a photo costs you the repair, the relationship, or the claim. I have watched five-figure disagreements evaporate because somebody could produce one picture from the right day.

That is the trade: two seconds against five figures, and you get to make it 300 times per roof.

The takeaway: the camera is free, your word is expensive. Document like it matters, because the one time it matters, it really matters.

Run the system.
